Born at the end of the 60s and grown up on a picturesque Island, Pierre Joel has developed an infinite curiosity for art and aesthetics throughout his diverse life. Being journalist, film director and photographer at the same time, he started to become interested in nude art and the art of the body, mainly through his artistic projects. “I have become interested in nudity in year 2000. Above all it is a passion without any ambition to become famous and recognized for it…” It was when Drouot, a critics, contacted him three years afterwards for one of his pieces “Fleur de Lys”, that Pierre Joël considered to be a professional nude artist and to deepen his research and knowledge on nude art. The name of his website "Art-Corporel", represents an atypical perspective on the human body, where the body is not object of photography, but rather becomes only the tool for the nature of the body to express itself. Putting himself under the service of the body and its various questions and facets, this has been the path, Pierre Joël has chosen for himself.
